Yayoi Kusama at the NGV

Yayoi Kusama Chandelier Room with Mirrors

The National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) presents the largest-ever exhibition of Yayoi Kusama in Australia, offering an immersive journey through the visionary artist’s world. Curated in collaboration with Kusama, this exhibition features over 180 works, including paintings, sculptures, collage, fashion, video, and large-scale installations.

For the first time in Australia, visitors will experience many of Kusama’s most celebrated infinity mirror rooms, alongside the global unveiling of her latest immersive installation, created exclusively for this exhibition. Extending beyond the gallery’s walls, the display will transform the entire ground floor of NGV International and spill into public spaces, making this one of the most ambitious retrospectives of the artist’s work ever presented.

This landmark exhibition is a rare opportunity to explore the full scope of Kusama’s multidisciplinary practice and witness the debut of a brand-new kaleidoscopic infinity mirror room, developed specifically for its world premiere in Melbourne.

Don’t miss the chance to experience one of the most comprehensive Kusama exhibitions ever staged. Plan your visit before it closes on April 21, 2025.
